Juab High School is offering an ACT preparation summer school session on Monday, August 2 and Tuesday, August 3 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. On Wednesday, August 4, students will be given the opportunity to take the ACT Exam at Snow College. Transportation will be provided. Students who would like to take the class should show up Monday morning. Any student who plans to take the concurrent enrollment course, College Algebra (math 1050) during the 2010 school year at Juab High School must qualify by earning a score of at least 23 on the math portion of the ACT Exam. This score must be earned before the beginning of school. This is a state rule established by the colleges and universities within the state. No exceptions will be made. There are no ACT national testing dates scheduled before the start of school, but Snow College still has two scheduled testing dates for the ACT, August 4 and August 18. Students desiring to take the ACT Exam at Snow College must pre-register by phoning the testing center. (435) 283-7313. Any student who has already taken the ACT but failed to score the required 23, has the option of taking the Accuplacer Exam. This exam is offered daily at Snow College. The Accuplacer Exam will only be given to students who have already taken the ACT Exam. No pre-registration is required for this exam.
